Which trading platforms work with a TFeed account, including NinjaTrader and TradingView?

A TFeed account works with Odin, NinjaTrader, Tradovate and TradingView, plus Atas, Quantower (through an add-on), Volumetrica, DeepChart and DeepDom. NinjaTrader, Tradovate and TradingView are the ones that need TFeed. TFeed carries no market data, so you trade from your own separate leader account that has data, and the Thor copier passes your executions onto the TFeed account. TradingView connects through Tradovate or through Thor's native TradingView integration.

A TFeed account at Phoenix Trader Funding works with Odin, NinjaTrader, Tradovate and TradingView, and also with Atas, Quantower, Volumetrica, DeepChart and DeepDom. Of those, NinjaTrader, Tradovate and TradingView are only available on TFeed. Quantower reaches TFeed through an add-on. Because TFeed carries no market data of its own, you place trades from a separate leader account that does have data, and the Thor copier repeats your executions onto the TFeed account.

That last sentence is where most of the confusion comes from, so the rest of this page explains what TFeed is, why the leader account exists, and which platform does what.

What TFeed is, and what it is not

A data feed is the connection that carries prices from the exchange to your screen and carries your orders back. An execution feed is a connection that handles orders and fills but does not stream the prices you would chart or read a depth of market from.

TFeed is Phoenix's own execution feed. It is one of the two evaluation feeds at Phoenix Trader Funding, the other being dxFeed. The practical difference for a trader is simple: a dxFeed account includes Level 1 market data, and a TFeed account includes no market data at all.

Level 1 market data is the best bid, the best offer and the last traded price for a contract, without the full depth of the order book behind them.

None of this changes the rules of the account itself. Drawdown, contract limits and payout terms are set by the account type and size, not by the feed it runs on.

Why a TFeed account needs a leader account

A leader account is a separate trading account of your own, carrying its own market data, that you trade from while a copier repeats each execution onto your other accounts.

Since TFeed does not stream prices, you cannot chart or read the market from the TFeed connection alone. So the setup runs in two parts. You watch the market and place your trades on the leader account. Thor, the Phoenix trade copier, takes each execution and places the same trade on your TFeed account.

Thor copies your own trades between your own accounts. It is not a signals service and it does not trade for you. Copying between accounts you hold is allowed on every account type, which is exactly what this setup relies on.

One consequence is worth knowing before your first session. The leader and the TFeed account each get their own fill, so their results on the same trade can differ by a few ticks at most, in either direction. Our answer on why copied accounts show a different profit or loss on the same trade walks through that mechanic and how to tell it apart from a copy that failed.

One thing the setup never allows: holding one of your accounts long while another is short. Cross-account hedging is prohibited on every account type, and the copier does not change that.

The platforms, feed by feed

Every platform below fits into one of three groups: the ones that need TFeed, the ones that run on either evaluation feed, and the ones used once an account reaches live funding.

Only on TFeed

NinjaTrader, Tradovate and TradingView work with TFeed and not with dxFeed. A trader who already runs a strategy layout in one of these three, and wants to keep it, needs a TFeed account to do so.

On either feed

Odin, Atas, Quantower, Volumetrica, DeepChart and DeepDom run on both evaluation feeds. Odin is Phoenix's own trading platform and is built into the Phoenix dashboard, so it works whichever feed the account sits on. Quantower needs an add-on to connect to TFeed and connects to dxFeed directly.

Once an account goes live

Live funding at Phoenix runs through EdgeClear on Rithmic, which is a different route from either evaluation feed. A live account can be traded on Sierra Chart, MultiCharts, Jigsaw, Bookmap, MotiveWave and the other platforms that connect to Rithmic.

Which accounts run on which feed

The feed is not always a choice. Spark, Daily and Merit accounts at Phoenix Trader Funding exist only on TFeed, so anyone trading one of them is on TFeed and on the platform list above. Classic accounts are sold on either feed, and the feed is picked at checkout.

For a Classic buyer, the decision usually comes down to the platform. If your platform is NinjaTrader, Tradovate or TradingView, the answer is TFeed. If you want market data included in the account and trade on Odin, Atas, Quantower, Volumetrica, DeepChart or DeepDom, dxFeed is an option.

Two ways to connect TradingView

TradingView reaches a TFeed account by two routes, and both work.

  1. Through Tradovate, connecting TradingView to the account the same way any Tradovate user would.
  2. Through Thor's own native TradingView integration, which uses webhooks.

A webhook is a message one piece of software sends to another the moment something happens, so an action taken in TradingView can be passed straight to Thor without anyone relaying it by hand.

The choice between the two is mostly about which tools you already have. A trader who already uses Tradovate tends to stay with that route. A trader whose setup is built around Thor tends to use the native integration.

Getting set up

The setup order is short. Pick the platform first, because that settles the feed. Then confirm you have a leader account with market data, connect Thor between the leader and the TFeed account, and place a small trade to check that the copy lands before trading full size.

The step-by-step screens for each platform and feed are in the Phoenix connection guide, and the wider account questions are answered in the Phoenix support FAQ.

Common follow-up questions

Can I trade a TFeed account without a separate leader account?

Not from the TFeed connection alone, because TFeed streams no market data to chart or read. You trade from your own leader account that carries data, and the Thor copier repeats each execution onto the TFeed account.

Do the account rules change depending on the feed I pick?

No. Drawdown, contract limits and payout terms are set by the account type and size. The feed decides which platforms you can connect and whether market data is included, not the rules you trade under.

Can I use NinjaTrader on a dxFeed account?

No. NinjaTrader, Tradovate and TradingView connect to TFeed and not to dxFeed. A trader who wants to keep one of those three platforms needs to hold a TFeed account to use it.

Will my TFeed account show exactly the same result as my leader account?

Close, but not always to the tick. Each account receives its own fill, so the two can differ by a few ticks at most on a trade, in either direction, because of fill timing rather than any fault.

Which platforms can I use once my account moves to live funding?

Live funding runs through EdgeClear on Rithmic, so a live account connects to Rithmic platforms such as Sierra Chart, MultiCharts, Jigsaw, Bookmap and MotiveWave, a different route from either evaluation feed.
