Is it really free?
Yes. No entry fee, no card, nothing to buy, to enter or to win. All you need is a Phoenix account, and creating one is free.
Are the prizes real money?
Yes. The $10,000 is paid in cash, in US dollars or the equivalent in your own currency. Not a funded account, not an account balance, not a discount: money paid to you by Phoenix Technologies, the maker of Odin and Thor Trade Copier, and the Cup's sponsor. That is the maximum: a prize nobody qualifies for is not paid.
Do I get anything if I don't win?
Yes. Everyone who trades on at least 3 days, unless disqualified, gets discount codes for Phoenix Trader Funding: . They appear on your Cup page and by email as soon as you reach those days, while the Cup is still running.
Do I trade with my own money?
No. The Cup account is a simulated $50,000 TFeed account on real-time market data. You cannot lose any money: only the prizes are real.
Who can enter?
Anyone aged 18 or over (or the age of majority where you live, if higher) with a Phoenix account in good standing, new or existing. One entry per person.
How do I enter, and where do I trade?
Sign in with your Phoenix account (or create one), open the Cup and press Enter. Your account appears in Odin, Quantower and Thor when the Cup starts. Entries close one hour before the end.
What are the account's rules?
Out at $47,500, a static drawdown that never trails. Up to 1 mini or 10 micros at a time, in total. Flat before each daily close: a position held over the close, the night or the weekend puts the account out. No profit target, no daily loss limit.
How is the leaderboard ranked?
By the balance of your Cup account, from your first closed trade, updated every few minutes. Accounts that are out rank below the accounts still in. The final standings are set after the end.
Why do some traders on the board have no prize?
A prize place needs three things at the end: 5 trading days, a balance above the starting balance, and an account still in. The places go to the traders who have all three, in board order, so a trader still short of one shows what they lack instead of a prize.
What counts as a trading day?
Any trading session in which you close at least one trade. After a reset, the count starts again from zero.
My account is out. Can I start again?
Yes, with a reset: a fresh $50,000 account, every number back to zero. You get 1 free reset for a few quick steps on your Cup page (follow us on X, join our Discord, post about the Cup), and 1 extra life for each friend who enters through your link and trades 3 days, up to 3. A reset can be used any time until one hour before the end.
How does the Best week prize work?
The Cup has 4 weeks. Each week, $250 goes to the biggest net gain on trades closed that week, across all your Cup accounts (a reset does not wipe your week), with trades on at least 2 days of that week.
How does the Most friends prize work?
$600 goes to the trader whose link brought the most friends who then traded on at least 3 days. Several entries from one internet address count once at most, and your own extra entries never count.
Can I win more than one prize?
Yes. A place in the final standings, a Best week and Most friends can all go to the same trader.
How and when am I paid?
After the end, each winner completes two steps on their Cup page: an identity check with Phoenix Identity, and a public post on X of their result card, tagging @phoenixfunding. The prize is paid within 10 business days of the later of the two. Both must be done within 30 days of being notified, or the prize is lost. The post also tags @thortradecopier.
What gets me disqualified?
More than one entry per person, hedging against another trader or against your own other accounts, copying another trader, trading above the Cup's size or after the end, exploiting a price or platform error, and fake entries to earn extra lives. The leading accounts are reviewed before any prize is paid.
Is my name shown on the board?
Your first name and the initial of your last name, or "Trader" with a number if you choose it on your Cup page. Winners are announced the same way, with the flag of their country.
