What are Training wheels on Live?

Written by Phoenix Labs
Live FundingInvitation-only real-money accounts: how you are called, what moves with you, how your Live account works and how you withdraw.

Every Live account starts on Training wheels. It is not a sanction: it is a calmer start on real money, with smaller limits while you find your rhythm. They come off after 10 traded sessions, or sooner, as soon as your floor locks at $0, and your level 1 terms apply.

Why do we do that? Many traders are overwhelmed by the psychological pressure of moving from a funded sim account to Live, and it makes a lot of them lose their account very quickly. Training wheels are here for you to get a grip on your Live account and on your psychology: they are purely for you. Now that you are Live, our interests are aligned, and Phoenix puts every resource and tool it has into keeping your Live account longer, which means more money for you.

Odin holds the limits for you:

  • 2 micros at most on your account. If an order takes you over, Odin closes the extra contract right after it fills.
  • $100 at most per trade. Place a stop with each entry that risks $100 or less: a bracket in Odin does it for you. A position left without one is closed after 15 seconds, and trading pauses for 2 minutes.
  • A $250 daily stop. At -$250 for the day, Odin closes your positions and you pick up again at the next session.

After a session that ends on its daily stop, or a liquidation by Rithmic, your Saga Coach asks you for a short review on your Live Desk before your next trade. It reads it and adjusts your plan with you.
